Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi

MKG probably one of the most spoken about and the most seen (on the greenbacks) of all time in our country’s rich history. Today there is a lot of skepticism about his ideals and principles and even debating his contributions in the freedom struggle. It is very sad and frustrating when people criticize him without understanding his ideas. There is a kind of notion in the minds of the youth today that we could have got freedom much earlier had we not followed Gandhiji. I would like to put forth my views on why we should think otherwise.

Non-Violence:  a concept so simple but yet so difficult to understand and follow. Gandhiji not only understood the spiritual upliftment and the self esteem that it builds but also its practical value.  In a physical battle there are many factors involved that can determine the outcome, apart from your determination and your love for your country. But using non violence the only thing needed is the determination to fight for your freedom and your rights. This is clearly evident from the fact that millions and millions of women who may not have physical strength but had the determination to fight for their country. Surprisingly even today military has reservations about enlisting women. It is phenomenal where in a country where women are so tied up in its customs and traditions that they should come out and fight with the men shoulder to shoulder for their right to freedom. No freedom struggle in the world can boast of such participation apart from ours. In a sense Gandhiji did more for women upliftment than any women’s bill or reservation can do.

Freedom is not worth having if it does not connote freedom to err - Mahatma Gandhi’. He understood that the ultimate goal was not freedom from British rule but freedom in itself. A prime example is Russian revolution where after the revolution was successful czars were thrown out and tyranny was at an end but afterwards a civil war broke out. People who had fought all their lives knew nothing but to fight, had suddenly been handed over the job to administer the country. Gandhiji was well aware of this and knew that our country was not capable enough to work on its own and needed British help to administer. It would have been like giving a farmer run a mill to run which he wants to but has no idea how to.

The most important thing here to understand is that it was the values and his ideas that were great more than Gandhiji himself as a person. It was the not the charisma or leadership of Gandhiji that should be treasured but his ideas. If it was for his personal abilities then it would not have been possible for Nelson Mandela or Martin Luther King Jr. to use the same ideology to successfully attain freedom. I would like to end by saying that Gandhiji was not a God, he was not perfect he may have made mistakes in his life but judge his ideals and not the man himself, it is the ideas that made him to what he was and not the other way round.

Things that went wrong at the CWG ceremony

First of all let me tell you...nobody expected the opening ceremony to be good except me..dont smirk..i juss knew it..i know its hard to believe...but then wasnt the successful  opening ceremony hard to believe...compared to its success my supernatural powers seem so believable..isnt it?

Now that its over and everybody is shouting their heads off 'proud to an Indian' let me tell you wat was wrong with the games.

The most important thing that went wrong was that there was no separate GARBA show. Add falguni pathak to that n WOOOh wat an awesome night tat would have been.

I mean look at her... she's the coolest dude ever to be born...even mother nature is surprised at creating such a masterpiece of a dude and at least the gujju’s would have paid for d ticket….

The second reason what i think went wrong was the speeches given by our great esteemed leaders. I mean come on even a 12 year old kid can give a better speech with public speaking lessons than our prime minister. I know he is a super intelligent guy a great accountant, a honest person..blah blah blah.....come on!!!!..a leaders isn’t supposed to have these qualities....its freakin weird when the media does not have any dirt on u to splash on the screens 24hours a day...there is no fun in having him as our prime minister.

U know who would be fun….. our own Mayawati…..think abt it…..if she was giving a speech in her own custom made english..how fun would be tat...n plus we would have our second wonder of the world.....STATUE OF MAYAWATI...tat would be soo cool..m definately voting for her in the next elections.

The third reason i think tat was missing was there was no SMS request at the end of the ceremony. ‘PLS SEND YOUR RESPONSES IF YOU LIKED THE SHOW (3Rs per sms) and PLS SEND YOUR RESPONSES IF U DIDNT LIKE IT AND WHO IS RESPONSIBLE (12rs per msg). How are they gonna earn back all the money they have spent on the stupid stadiums and villages. n yeah even though its 12rs for an sms if u dont like it, still thats where d money comes from because every Indian is a smartass who likes to criticize everything…if u don’t believe me check out my Facebook page u’ll start believing.

The fourth thing that went wrong was the announcement lady...come on even the lady at the railway platform announces better than that. You know who would be the coolest announcer for the ceremony 'BIG BOSS' ofcourse. It is one of the most watched shows in India and i seriously cant think of any other reason why people watch the show apart from listening to the awesome hypnotic inspiring voice of BIG BOSS.Think of the TRP what would've have been possible and the ads atleast we could have recovered the money spent on toilet paper. Dont laugh the amount spent on toilet paper was equal to half od the budget for d whole common wealth games. N the world say India dosent spend much on Hygiene. IN YOUR FACE WORLD.

And the final thing that went wrong was SURESH KALMADI….i know I saved the best for the last……..

See  tiger takes a picture with him and he has to suffer. ONLY 1400 left. Wat do u expect y did he take pictures with Suresh kalmadi, its his fault. Don’t come to me for donations to save him. Why the hell should I pay for his  mistakes.
